ZKM Unveils Phase 2 of Our Early Contributor Program: Community Evolution
Share on

At ZKM, we are on a mission to revolutionize the digital world by bringing privacy, security, and efficiency to the forefront. With the introduction of Phase 2: Community Evolution of our Early Contributor Program (ECP), we’re taking a giant step forward in achieving this goal. This program has been instrumental in fostering a community of forward-thinking developers who actively participate in shaping the future of open-source zero knowledge technology. In this post, we’re excited to unveil the new features and opportunities this new phase our ECP brings to our growing community.

Phase 1: Community Education, prioritized community education, to explain the purpose of building and using a zkVM, as well as demoing the installation and developer process from start to finish resulting in a zero-knowledge proof. The ZKM Discord community more than quadrupled during the three week Community Education campaign, with more than 40,000 proofs generated.

Phase 2: Community Evolution is open to everyone, whether you’re a developer, engaged community member, content creator, or a curious learner wanting to explore more about ZK. Let’s take a deep dive into the key features of Phase 2 to learn about how you can get involved in the open-source ZKM community and unlock exclusive rewards!

ZKM Contributor POINTS System & Contributor Board

ZKM is collaborating with sister Econode Koris to introduce the Contributor POINTS System and Contributor Board. This program welcomes anyone to contribute to ZKM through bounties and earn non-transferable POINTS.

How can I earn POINTS?

How can you earn POINTS as a contributor? Simply align your interests with one of the available campaigns on ZKM’s Contributor Board, each featuring a set of bounties. By successfully completing these bounties, you can amass POINTS and earn exclusive rewards. POINTS is a non-transferable token, you can only earn POINTS through Contributor Board submissions. Read more about POINTS here.

All campaigns and tasks are listed on the ZKM Contributor Board at points.zkm.io. Simply signup and login by connecting your wallet! The board will be regularly updated with fresh campaigns and bounties. Join our Discord to stay informed about new opportunities.

Here are examples of the types of tasks that you can earn points from:

ZKM Contributor Board hosted on Koris.

For Developers:

  • Interacting with our product and submitting GitHub issues
  • Contributing to the zkMIPS codebase
  • Generating use cases

For the General Community:

  • Creating content such as Medium Articles and Tweets to promote new ZKM campaigns

ZKM will release its Education Hub next week, which will include contributor bounties for completing assignments, participating in Discord, and more.

How can I submit tasks to earn POINTS?

All work should be submitted in the form of a link under a task at points.zkm.io.

Contributor Board Bounty currently available under Developer Campaign: https://points.zkm.io/

  1. Log in by connecting your Wallet, email/phone or through your social accounts.
Make sure to also bind your Twitter account, as this is the key to earning POINTS.
  2. Browse through the “Active Campaigns” and select those aligned with your focus or expertise.
We have dedicated campaigns for developers and general community members, and will release the ZKM Education Hub campaign in the following week of Phase 2’s initial launch.
Keep an eye out for invite-only, private campaigns exclusively for top contributors!
  3. Once you select a campaign, you will be able to view all available bounties.
Simply select the bounty you wish to participate in.
Make sure to follow all the directions in the description. Submissions that do not follow guidelines will be “slashed” and you will not be able to receive POINTS.
Different bounties are allocated a different number of POINTS, with difficult or more time-consuming tasks earning more POINTS.
  4. Hit “Submit” and start earning POINTS!
Upon clicking Submit, you will be asked to attach a link to your submission. Note: you are limited to one link per submission. If you need to make edits to your submission after submitting, please do so in the platform you created your work in. You will not be able to change your link submission.

For more information on signing up and submitting tasks on Koris, see the Koris User Guide.

What rewards can I receive with POINTS?

Now that I have my POINTS, what can I do with them? Once you have the proper amount of accumulated POINTS, you can redeem them for rewards. These include:

  • Access to Exclusive ZKM Opportunities
  • Potential project lead introductions
  • Social Badges — both level and add-on based.
Level-based badges: the more POINTS you have accumulated, the higher your badge status. After you exceed a certain threshold of POINTS, your badge can be upgraded.
Add-on badges: earn badges by consistent work in actively contributing as a developer, growing the community, and promoting ZKM.
These badges can be used to claim roles in the ZKM community– more information coming soon!
  • NFT Course Completion Certificate for Education Hub participants — stick around for the addition of the ZKM Education Hub next week.
